A ceremony to mark the 30th founding anniversary of the Vietnam-Russia Oil and Gas Joint Stock Company (Vietsovpetro) was held in Moscow on July 7.
Attending the ceremony were Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Pham Xuan Son, Chief Representative of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (SNG) Tran Ngoc Son, Deputy General Director of Russia ’s Zarubezhneft oil and gas group A. P. Kovalenko and President of the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association Vladimir Buiyanov.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Son and the Russian delegates highlighted the traditional friendship and long-lasting and effective strategic partnership-cooperation between Vietnam and Russia, the typical examples of which are the Vietsovpetro and Rusvietpetro, a joint venture between Zarubezhneft and PetroVietnam.
They expressed wish that the relations between the two countries will further develop in the future.
Earlier, the delegates laid flowers at the Statue of President Ho Chi Minh in Moscow.
