Strengthening Party's leadership in ensuring security, order in new context

On the afternoon of December 24, provincial Party Committee held a conference to review the three-years implementation of the Politburo’s Conclusion No. 13-KL/TW dated August 16, 2021 and the Party Secretariat’s Conclusion No. 15-KL/TW dated September 30, 2021 on strengthening the Party's leadership in ensuring security, order, and crime prevention in the new context. The conference was chaired by Vo Van Minh, Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Chairman of provincial People's Committee, in attendance of representatives of provincial departments, agencies, districts and cities.

Over the past three years, provincial police force organized over 100,000 patrols with the participation of more than 276,000 officers and soldiers. Through professional operations, provincial police force apprehended 679 individuals involved in gambling, 1,645 individuals for illegal possession and use of narcotics, 22 individuals for robbery, 157 individuals for theft and 25 individuals for illegal possession of cracker…

Provincial police force successfully established and dismantled major cases and operations. They investigated and resolved 4,054 cases, apprehending and prosecuting 7,561 individuals involved in crimes against public order. Additionally, they arrested, mobilized for surrender or eliminated 508 wanted individuals.

In his directive speech at the conference, Mr Minh spoke highly of Party committees, departments, sectors, mass organizations and local authorities throughout the province for their focused leadership, direction and organization. He acknowledged their efforts in mobilizing the strength of the entire political system and the people in crime prevention and control.

Mr. Minh requested that in the coming period, functional units in the province continue strengthening coordination efforts to prevent and combat crime in the new context. He emphasized the active involvement of provincial Police, People’s Procuracy and People’s Court in handling cases.
