December 27, Beijing Commercial Court officially announced winning party of Vinamit against Xie Yong Yi – a former distributing agent of Vinamit Corporation in China. The brandname “Duc Thanh” was in dispute in 4 years and 3 hearings.Duc Thanh was established by Vinamit 20 years ago. The intermediate People’s Court 1 in Beijing City clearly announced breaches of Xie Hong Yi in article 31 of brandname law.Vietnamese brand-names are vulnerable to ‘thief’ in China due to the relying on foreign agents of Vietnamese merchants.
