Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation speaks at the conference
Number of Covid-19 patients with aggravation and deaths significantly decreasing
Assessing Binh Duong's anti-pandemic work over the past time, Assoc. Prof- Dr. Nguyen Lan Hieu, Director of Hanoi Medical University Hospital cum Medical Director of Becamex International Hospital-based Emergency Resuscitation Center that the province's 3-storey treatment and collection system has got more and more perfect. The number of patients with aggravation and deaths in 3 treatment floors has also reduced significantly. In the past days, the whole province closed 12 isolation areas and organized post-Covid-19 wards to help patients get the best recovery. Therefore, the province also needs to boldly set up a Covid-19 Recovery Center. Especially, each locality needs to prepare 4-5 isolation areas for F0 cases with risk factors. For localities with 10% of population being F0 cases when being tested, they are considered as the "dense red zones", so they need to be zoned to focus on medical care. As of now, the province has passed the peak of Covid-19 and will soon overcome the side of the pandemic safely.
People in Ben Cat town get vaccinated against Covid-19
Sharing the same view with Assoc. Prof - Dr. Nguyen Lan Hieu, Dr. Duong Chi Nam, Deputy Head of the Health Environmental Management Department under the Ministry of Health said the mortality rate in the province is 0.8% lower than the whole country. After September 15, the province should allow restaurants, eateries to reopen and sell takeout food; requisition students of Binh Duong Medical College to fill laboratories when volunteer forces complete their tasks; provide quick test kits for people so that they can test themselves at home; periodically do PCR tests for anti-pandemic forces. Localities quickly make the list of subjects aged 12-18 in order to be ready to plan for vaccination against Covid-19 on them. So far, the Ministry of Health’s special task force in the province has coordinated with Tan Uyen town to establish mobile medical stations at the local industrial parks and enterprises, which is implemented on specialized software to manage workers and under the support of provincial Department of Information and Communications.
Discussing solutions to fight the pandemic in the coming time, Nguyen Loc Ha, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee said that the province will continue thoroughly grasping and implementing a policy of "taking communes, wards and towns as fortresses; people as soldiers in Covid-19 prevention and control”. The province will continue implementing the “4 on-site” motto with the general principle: Strict social distancing is a fundamental, important and decisive issue; on-site social welfare is a key and regular measure; testing is a key measure to identify the source of infection; reducing mortality is a top priority; vaccines are seen as a long-term strategy. Accordingly, the province will focus on performing a number of key and urgent tasks, including setting up mobile medical stations; gradually returning requisitioned Covid-19 collection and treatment facilities to enterprises and schools in order to serve production, business, teaching and learning activities.
Regarding Covid-19 vaccines, Dr. Nguyen Hong Chuong, Director of provincial Department of Health informed that the Ministry of Health will further allocate 110,000 doses of vaccine to the province to be able to achieve 100% of coverage for vaccinated subjects. Currently, the province allows Covid-19 patients with no symptoms, no risk factors and no underlying diseases to return home for isolation after 7 days of having negative rapid antigen testing results in accordance with regulations.
Tightening anti-pandemic discipline
Speaking at the conference, Mr.Thao said that although Covid-19 pandemic has affected all aspects of social life, with the participation of the whole political system and locals, the province has achieved many achievements in the fight against the pandemic. After September 15, all-level authorities and sectors in the province need to further promote propaganda so that people can further improve their responsibility in protecting the "green zone", not being negligent in pandemic prevention and control.
After hearing opinions by delegates, Mr. Loi praised the efforts by all-level authorities, mass organizations, cadres and locals, especially frontline forces in Covid-19 prevention and control, helping the province achieve many results in this fight. This result is the foundation for the province to further deploy solutions against the pandemic in the coming time.
He emphasized that the local health sector must be the key force to help people immediately access medical services in order to further implement the local strategy to protect public health. Therefore, the local health sector must set up a better personnel system from grassroots to provincial levels, especially in the 3-storey treatment system. When volunteer forces complete their tasks, the local health sector must organize human resources logically. Health workers are the focus and other forces are satellites.
He also affirmed that the anti-epidemic work must be unified between the will and action in order to get success. In the coming time, after the province continues easing social distancing, heads of localities or units must take responsibility if they fail to control the pandemic. They must take care of the anti-pandemic work, not letting the situation of negligence and subjectivity occur in the fight against the pandemic on the mechanism of the People's Committee Chairman to manage the fight against the pandemic and the standing collective giving anti-pandemic policies. “I hope that with experience against the pandemic in the last outbreak plus the help of the Ministry of Health and support forces and units, Binh Duong will continue maintaining achievements in fighting against the pandemic and reap more successes in this fight as well as in the task of protecting people's health", said Mr. Loi.
