Workers being thrilled to return home on Tet holidays

Currently, along with animated production atmosphere in factories, workers in the province are thrilled to prepare for returning home on Tet holidays. They greet each other, ask each other about preparing Tet gifts, share travel plans, making the spring atmosphere at lodging houses more exciting.

The spring is coming, but workers across the province are still rushing in working to earn some more money for family. Despite the whole day long at work, they still have the motivation, because they can return to their hometown to welcome Tet.

Worker Tran Van Thuong (born in An Giang province) living at a lodging house in Dong Hoa Wward, Di An town, said: “I have worked in Binh Duong province for 3 years. Despite difficulties, my parents always want me to come home in the Lunar New Year. During the whole year, I worked hard and spent sparingly to get more money for Tet holidays”.

A night market at Thai Hoa Ward Industrial cluster in Tan Uyen town attracted a large number of workers shopping to prepare for Tet holidays.

Worker Le Minh Tri coming from Ca Mau and lodging at Binh Chuan ward, Thuan An town said, to return home on Tet holidays, he and his spouse had to work hard, spent sparingly to get more money for Tet gifts for family. He bought a motorcycle to go home easily and thriftily. "The whole year away from home, the New Year is an occasion for family to gather and be happy together. We are preparing everything for this Tet. My kid is the happiest one, because he know he can meet their grandparents”, said Tri.

Markets at provincial industrial zones have been bustling. After working hours, street lights are turned up, workers go shopping to prepare for Tet. Worker Tran Thi Tien working at Chi Hung company in Tan Uyen town said: “This Tet is very meaningful to me, because I have not returned home on Tet holidays for over 7 years. I am so excited, and bought new clothes, goods, and food for my family. I'm looking forward to coming home. So is my family”.

Worker Nguyen Thi Thuy coming from Ha Tinh province and working at Pungkook company in An Phu ward, Thuan An town said, she and her sister started to prepare and purchase things for Tet holidays a half month ago. Returning home after a year makes they so happy. Thuy said: “My parents are happy doubly as we come home. My younger brothers and sisters will also be happy, because they can have new clothes, sweets, and red envelopes”.

The Lunar New Year is coming. Migrant workers in the province are preparing for coming home on Tet holidays. They are waiting for reunion with their family.

* Mr. Nguyen Thien Phuoc, Deputy Chairman of the provincial Labor Federation, said, in the Lunar New Year 2015, provincial Labor Federation continues to support bus tickets to take workers home. This year, provincial Labor Federation plans to take approximately 1,220 workers coming from provinces from Phu Yen to Hanoi Tet home. Besides, many companies also responded to the program in order to share with their employees to have a reunion New Year.
