Young workers to enjoy a happy and warm Tet

It is just a musical night to celebrate the spring with passenger tickets or gifts with daily necessities giving away, but for many workers, it has been great encouragement for them every Tet comes. For many years, the Youth Union at all levels in the province together with the local authorities have contributed to share the worries and bring the joy of Tet to such young workers.

Working together, contributing to young workers to have a happy and warm Tet, over the years, the Standing Board of the provincial Youth Union has always taken care of practical activities.

Empowering young workers

For more than 3 months now, the life of Phan Thi Quyen of Binh Duc 2 neighborhood at Binh Hoa ward in Thuan An city has been in an adverse situation when the company has fewer purchase orders to fulfill and her working hours are cut. The cost of living has increased while her income decreased, making it very difficult for her to rent a house and send money back to her parents' hometown. Tet is approaching, and Quyen is worried saying: "Normally, we work all Saturdays and Sundays overtime, but now the company has fewer purchase orders, on Saturdays and Sundays we all have to stay at home but we are not happy because incomes decrease while Tet is once again".

Similar to Quyen, many young workers in the province are currently facing such difficulties. Wishing to join hands and contribute to young workers to have a happy and warm Tet, for many years, the Standing Board of the provincial Youth Union has considered taking care of young workers for Tet as an annual activity of the typical beauty of the Union - Association in the province for workers from all over to Binh Duong to reside and work.

Huynh Cao Thong - Deputy Secretary of Bau Bang District Union, said: “Activities to celebrate the CPV, the spring and take care of Union officials, members and children, including the taking care of young workers. in Bau Bang district, this Tet holiday will be from January 15, 2023 to the end of January 20, 2023 with such contents as the program to greet the Lunar New Year, "Tet’s rice tray and sharing love", "Spring bus ride and haring love", "Supporting young workers returning home to welcome Tet".

The practical care

Just more than 1 month left to the Lunar New Year of the year 2023, so these days, the Standing Board of the provincial Youth Union has planned to take care of the young workers with many specific programs. According to Tran Thi Diem Trinh - Secretary of the provincial Youth Union, in this year the provincial Standing Committee organizes a warm-up program to welcome the Lunar New Year 2023 in Ben Cat town with many practical and meaningful activities of discount and VND-0 sale booths to support union members, young workers, and people in harsh circumstances during the Lunar New Year -Year of the Rabbit 2023, the decoration contest of "Spring street corner", decorating apricot trees, peach trees, wrapping banh chung and banh tet, Spring Festival performing arts competition, food stalls of regional culture and ethnic Vietnamese cuisine, exchanges of clubs, teams, groups, activities, folk games, quizzes with prizes, and "Tet rice tray" in 2023.

In addition, in order to promote the accompanying role of the Youth Union and Association in taking care of, supporting and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of young workers, the provincial Standing Committee will coordinate with the Taisho Vietnam Co. Ltd. to organize the program of "Bus for Tet 2023" to support young workers and students in Binh Duong province on the occasion of the Lunar New Year – Year of the Rabbit 2023. Young workers and students living, studying and working in Binh Duong are brought back to hometowns in the central and western provinces to return home to celebrate Tet on 7 trips back to the provinces. At the same time, in order to take care of young workers from the neighboring provinces of Binh Duong province, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee will also organize the program of "supporting young workers returning to their hometowns to celebrate Tet” at 9 locations. At the relay points, the Organizing Committee will give 10,000 gifts that are essential necessities for young workers returning to their hometown to celebrate Tet by motorbikes.

For young workers workers who do not return to their hometown to celebrate Tet, Tran Thi Diem Trinh said: "The Standing Board of the provincial Youth Union will offer about 100 events at hostels crowded with young workers in the province.”
