The organizing board of the Golden Cashew Festival held 2 seminars themed ‘Vietnam cashew trademark building’ and ‘Orientations for Vietnam cashew industry’s development for 2011-2020 period’ on March 21.

The seminar participants said that cashew is one of key plants of agricultural industry but its position remains limited. Besides, the number of cashew makers registering for trademark protection is too little compared to the industry’s potentials. Nguyen Quan, deputy minister of Science and Technology said that it is necessary to have detailed guidance for farmers to enhance cashew products, facilitating processors’ advanced technology application into cashew processing and preservation.

At the seminar themed ‘Orientations for Vietnam cashew industry’s development for 2011-2020 period’, delegates discussed and assessed Vietnam cashew industry’s situation and set out policies, solutions for the sake of its development.
