Update: 19-10-2016 | 10:41:44

Early October 18, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and provincial People’s Committee jointly held a talk show on “Southeastern region towards international integration and sustainable development”.

Attending the event were Mai Hung Dung, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; economic researchers in the Southeastern region together with industries’ associations in the province.

Ambassador Tran Ngoc An, Head of the Department for multi-economic relations under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed participating delegates of the world economy with fluctuations. Big economies like U.S, Japan and British are on sluggish growth and even Russia, Brazil is facing economic turndown. Along with this, climate change, terrorism, conflict…will bring challenges to domestic enterprises because Vietnam’s international economic integration has become deeper and wider.

According to the World Trade Organization (WTO), the 2016 global economic growth is predicted at only 2.6%. For that reason, domestic enterprises need to be proactive to adapt themselves to the new context, diminishing their dependence on several certain trade areas
