52 outstanding HCMYPO members honored

North Tan Uyen district’s Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization (HCMYPO), on July 7, held its 2^nd congress of Uncle Ho’s obedient children. Attending the event were leaders of provincial Youth Union, the district and 52 outstanding HCMYPO members representing 8,255 local children.

Upholding the tradition of “When drinking water, remember its resource”, the district’s HCMYPO donated 215 gifts to policy beneficiary families, heroic Vietnamese mothers; offered 2,000 notebooks to children at Hoang Dieu border post in Binh Phuoc province’s Bu Dop district…Implementing the movement of “Good words, good deeds”, the whole district had a total of 2,680 outstanding children honored. The district’s HCMYPO also held 46 exchange programs “lighting dreams” for children and effectively realized models, namely “Telling stories about Uncle Ho”, “Hanging Uncle Ho’s portrait in family’s solemn place”…In addition, the movements of “One thousand good deeds”, “Small plan”…were deeply and widely launched by the district’s HCMYPO with diverse forms, absorbing more and more youths.

On this occasion, the district’s People’s Committee honored 52 outstanding HCMYPO members, 25 teachers in charge of HCMYPO activities…The district’s Youth Union and HCMYPO also awarded 15 “green dream” scholarships worth VND500,000 each to poor-but-excellent pupils.
