The 6th provincial Sports Festival has passed two thirds of its journey. At the sports festival, the model of sports socialization has been applied quite successfully. In addition to familiar venues, bringing events to localities is a new feature at this year' sports festival.
Normally, the organizers choose to hold events of the sports festival at familiar locations such as provincial Sports Training and Competition Center, Multi-Purpose Sporting Event Hall...They are all be located in Thu Dau Mot city, helping the Organizing Board of the sports festival be less difficult. If focusing on organizing all competitions of the sports festival in Thu Dau Mot City, members of the Organizing Board will be convenient in moving and checking preparatory work for fields for each event, without taking much time for preparation.
The competition of Karate was held in Tan Uyen town in March 2022
However, when the whole system is gradually shifting to a model of sports socialization with the goal of bringing sports to people. And bringing some events at the sports festival 2022 to localities for organization is the top priority by leaders of the local sports sector. Instead of having to travel less and easily check preparatory work if all 20 events are held in Thu Dau Mot city, members of the Organizing Board of the sports festival must move to localities from one to two days earlier when there are events held in Ben Cat town, Tan Uyen town or Thuan An city. This is the time for them to check preparation for fields, opening and closing backdrop for each event. In addition, arbitration work and professional meetings of the 9 delegations are also focused in each locality.
The difficulty is present when having to leave early and return later than the athletes, but members of the Organizing Board of this year's sports festival do not feel tired. For them, each event is successfully organized. The local audience can directly watch the home team to compete and win high achievements. All are the goal of those who do not mind difficulties to to bring the top sports to these localities. “Going away from home, having to stay overnight, there is a little bit of anxiety sometimes. But when events are held in localities and are well received by people, we feel happy with what we have tried to do,” said Le Hoai Phuong Nam, Head of the Movement and Competition Organization Department under provincial Sports Training and Competition Center.
