80% of workers return to work after Tet

*138 enterprises in IPs operate throughout Tet

According to provincial Labor Union, on February 7 (January 7 of the lunar calendar), 80% of workers from 85% of enterprises with trade unions in the province returned to work on time after the Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday 2022.

Many enterprises work throughout Tet to secure orders under the signed contracts

Among them, garment and textile enterprises had nearly 80% of employees returning to work. Especially, enterprises with a large number of workers reached a very high rate of returning to work on the first working day following the Tet holiday. For example, Shyang Hung Cheng Co., Ltd., Chi Hung Co., Ltd.,  Apparel Far Eastern Vietnam Co., Ltd. had 83%, 93% and more than 85% of workers returning to work after Tet, respectively.

*On February 7, provincial Industrial Parks (Ips)’ Management Board said that the local Ips had a total of 138 enterprises working during the Tet festival 2022, with more than 17,000 employees. During the working time, they ensured to implement regimes for employees in accordance with provisions of the labor law.

As of February 7, 1,945 out of 2,432 enterprises with 334,898/478,427 in the local IPs resumed operations. Due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, many workers did not return to their hometown to celebrate Tet, so there was no big change in labor.
