A grocery store owner commended for stopping thief in lodging house

On March 1, Di An City Police awarded a certificate of merit issued by Director of Provincial Police to a citizen in An Binh ward (Di An city) for his excellent performance in the movement of all people protecting national security.

Previously, late at night on November 10, 2023, Ms. HTL (owner of a grocery store in Binh Duong 4 quarter, An Binh ward) discovered a strange person entering her family's lodging house. When the subject approached a motorbike, suspecting that this was a thief, Ms. L. shouted, and together with the lodgers, tried to stop it and reported it to the local police.

Immediately afterwards, An Binh Ward Police and Di An City Police Criminal Police Team arrived on the scene and have this subject come to the station. Afterwards, the subject Truong Anh Kiet (19 years old, from Dong Nai) confessed that he was stealing a car. Kiet also testified that he had previously committed four property thefts with similar tricks. With the above good action, Ms. H.T.L. was awarded a certificate of merit by Director of the Provincial Police.
