Spring full of love
Children always expect Tet holiday to wear new clothes and receive lucky money. However, this simple thing becomes difficult for poor children. Therefore, the provincial Fund for Children held the 8th “Spring with poor children” program with the participation of more than 1,000 poor and disabled kids and orphans across 9 districts, towns and Thu Dau Mot city. Granting gifts to poor children were Pham Van Canh, chairman of the provincial People’s Council, Huynh Van Nhi, chairman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Tran Thanh Liem, vice chairman of the provincial People’s Council cum head of the provincial Fund for Children, Nguyen Minh Giao, head the provincial Education and Propaganda Committee.
The program seemed to be more lively when children enjoyed unique musical items and exchanged with famous singers. In addition, they enjoyed encouragement from local leaders.
Tran Thanh Liem, vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee said that the annual program of “Spring with poor children” always receives care of agencies and sectors and community. With charity and good deeds, children with difficult circumstances have enjoyed care of agencies, enterprises and individuals through free heart surgeries, scholarship granting, gift visits and more. This result shows cooperation from community and local administration to take care of poor kids on Tet holiday.

Taking care of children with difficult circumstances is an annual activity of the Fund for children. Significant gifts plus timely encouragement help kids with difficult circumstances ease pains.
“Every kind heart wings dreams” is name of a program that is constantly implemented by the fund for children. Accordingly, the provincial Fund for Children connects donors with children with circumstances.
On this occasion, 17 kids enjoyed assistance from the program with support level of VND12mil per kid per year. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, student of Chanh Nghia secondary school in Thu Dau Mot city revealed her mother suffered a serious disease while her father’s job is instable and she is a disabled kid. The program helps her pursue study.
Possibly speaking, the program always receives assistance from donors. Over the past 18 years, the fund for children has mobilized over VND50bil to support 50,000 unlucky kids. In the program alone, donors supported VND2.5bil to assist unluky kids. In 2015, the fund for children granted nearly 2,000 Tet gifts each worth VND500,000 to poor kids.
On behalf of the local leaders, Pham Van Canh, vice secretary of the provincial party committee and Tran Thanh Liem, vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee started the opening ceremony of the program. Afterwards, the local leaders in person granted gifts to children with difficult circumstances with the hope of bringing a warm Spring for them on the upcoming Tet holiday 2015.
