About 800 enterprises learn about regional minimum wage regulations

Morning Dec 10, Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (LISA) held a conference on the implementation of Decree No. 85 and No. 122 for about 800 delegates of LISA Offices, Labor Confederations of 9 districts, towns and city; HR, Trade Union officials of companies in the province.

About 800 enterprises attended the conference disseminating new decrees on wages and policies for female workers

Pursuant to Decree No. 122, regulations on regional minimum wage will be applied from Jan 1, 2016. In Binh Duong province, wage of VND 3.5 million will be applied to businesses operating in TDM City, Di An, Thuan An, Tan Uyen, Ben Cat town, and Bau Bang, North Tan Uyen district (Zone 1). Wage of VND 3.1 million will be applied to businesses operating in Phu Giao, Dau Tieng district (Zone 2).

Decree No. 85 stipulated in detail some Labour Code’s articles on policies for female workers; thereby, contributing to improving working conditions, health care for female workers; female workers having baby under 12 months of age will be entitled to a break of 60 minutes per day; female workers during menstruation will be entitled to a break of 30 minutes per day, at least 3 days per month; supports from employers in the construction of kindergarten or partial cost of child care, preschool fees…

After the conference, participants understood new regulations to take good care for workers in order for workers to enjoy their rights.
