Allowances to increase by 11% for Tet Holiday 2016

Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee just met to approve the allowances supporting officials, cadres, civil servants, armed forces, and socially-privileged subjects. By the supporting allowances, the provincial leaders want to offer the beneficiaries a joyful and prosperous Tet holiday.

On Tet annually, Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee disburses tremendous amounts to support beneficiary people. For this year, the payments has been over VND 152 billion, increasing by 11% higher than in Tet Holiday 2015, of the amounts, the provincial budget has been accounted for nearly VND 88 billion, district budget VND 49 billion, and communal budget over VND 15 billion. The payment of VND 3.5 million a case has been particularly to Vietnamese heroic mothers and husbands of Vietnamese heroic mothers, VND 2.5 million a case to armed force heroes and families of two and more martyrs, VND 2 million to injured war veterans, families of martyrs losing the maintenance, and VND 1.7 million to families of injured war veterans.

The authorities and agencies have taken good care socially-privileged subjects and families of poverty during Tet and holidays

The payment of VND 1 million a case is applied to officials losing labor competence, officials suffering from labor accident and occupational diseases, communal officials of monthly allowances and cadres and civil servants employed by provincial, district, and town including those of employment contracts of 6 months and more as determined in payroll of January 2016, officials and cadres of administrative agencies of central government in the locality, the provincial managing armed forces, commune and ward officials beneficial of allowances, and pension officials.

VND 1 million will be offered to each of family of poverty. VND 4 million per capita will be offered to workers under State’s urban construction enterprises who directly collect wastes during Tet holiday. VND 500,000 will be offered to students of human resourcing or training and learning by orders in the North of the province including children of officials and cadres in such resourcing courses by decision of Organization of Provincial Party Committee, quarter officials beneficial of allowances including hamlet Party cell secretaries, head of mass mobilization, deputy leader, police officer, leader, and medical officers, militia protecting the quarters, disable children or children of life-threatening diseases, Agent Orange victims, HIV/AIDS patients of especially harsh circumstances, working people of especially harsh circumstances having no opportunities returning home for Tet.

VND 300,000 will be offered to secretary of young workers’ league, heads and deputy heads of workers’ clubs, female workers’ clubs, and officials in charge of unifying communal youths. VND 80,000 a person a day will be offered to poor patients hospitalized in public hospitals (the payments will be for 4 days at the most, depending on physical stay from February 7 through Feb 10, 2016).

Upholding the spirit of no families under harsh circumstances during Tet holiday, Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee of the province has called upon supporting sources. For workers, the provincial Labor Union has proposed to present gifts to 11,000 workers in harsh circumstances. The union also added 2,000 fares to workers and youth’s league officials while calling for Sabeco to offer 3,000 fares and in coordination with Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize 25 evenings of art performances to service workers during Tet holiday in Binh Duong Province.

Aside from gifts of the province, localities have extracted from the budget and called for enterprises and individuals to support the cases of difficulties.

Currently, local divisions of labor, invalids and social affairs at districts, towns, and Thu Dau Mot City are reviewing to offer timely supports. For the parts of communes, wards, and town, offer letters would be sent to enterprises and individuals to call upon their donation for gifts and visits so that those people being supported would enjoy springtime of Tet holiday.
