Awarding VietGAP certificates to 20 farmer households

On the afternoon of November 4, provincial Sub-Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection in collaboration with FAO Certification and Testing Joint Stock Company held a ceremony to award VietGAP certificates to households participating in the project of "Development of specialty fruit orchards associated with eco-tourism in the southern region of Binh Duong province.

Accordingly, 20 farmers participating in the project were granted VietGAP certificates, or 100% of the plan. Among them, there were 10 households growing pomelos in Tan Uyen town’s Bach Dang commune and 10 households growing mangosteens in Thuan An city.

VietGAP standards are regulations on good agricultural production practices for agricultural and aquatic products in Vietnam. Meeting standards and being certified will help agricultural production and business units increase their products’value as well as competitive advantages
