Bau Bang bound for sustainable agriculture development

Although Bau Bang district is reaching a rapid growth in industrial manufacture and trade-services, agricultural production plays an important role in the local economic development. To satisfy requirements of agricultural development in the new context, the district has focused on promoting hi-tech agricultural models to increase the value and quality of agricultural products towards commercial agriculture..

The whole district is now home to more than 24,500 hectares of rubber trees. Although the price of rubber latex in the current period is on strong reduction, this kind of tree has helped locals secure a stable income. Hence, the district has still mobilized locals to further maintain their rubber gardens.

Regarding animal husbandry, the whole district now has more than 163,000 heads of cattle and nearly 1.7 million fowls. The local veterinary sector has always attached special importance to opportunely implementing vaccination against diseases in cattle and poultry, helping locals keep their mind on animal husbandry.
