A delegation of Ben Cat district’s leaders visited and presented gifts to Buddhist dignitaries at Long Chau pagoda in My Phuoc township, Phuoc Hoi pagoda in Lai Uyen commune and the district’s Buddhist Sangha Representative Board in Tan Dinh commune on the Vu Lan Festival 2010.
On behalf of Buddhist followers, Buddhist dignitaries at the above pagodas also expressed thanks to the local leaders for their attention and help to the operations of these pagodas and committed that they and Buddhist followers would well realize the Party and State’s policies and laws, contributing to promoting the local development.
*The Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Zone in HCM city’s district 9 yesterday held the Vu Lan Festival 2010 with the participation of more than 1,000 Buddhist nuns, monks, followers and visitors.
Many Buddhist rituals will be also organized at the Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Zone during the Vu Lan reason, beginning from now till August 24. On this occasion, Buddhist followers will receive free entrance from the Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Zone. The cultural tourism zone will also spend more than 300 tons of rice on charity activities.
