Update: 26-01-2016 | 14:43:30

Established in August 2012, Binh Duong Mechanical-Electrical Association (BIMEA) has become a firm mainstay of enterprises in mechanism and electricity in and out of the province, helping them manufacture products with better competitiveness than imported ones.

Improving the role of BIMEA

BIMEA was set up under provincial People’s Committee’s Decision No.2308/QD-UBND dated August 23, 2012 with 20 members. It has so far become a firm mainstay of members, but also acted as a bridge between the local and central administration. Thanks to timely suggestions from BIMEA, the central administration has considered and adjusted documents issued, helping save hundreds of billion from bidding packages using State budget.

Luu Tri, Vice-Chairman of BIMEA said that BIMEA opportunely reflected the situation of absolutely giving priority to imported products by units under the Ministry of Finance when meeting State President Truong Tan San in his visit to Binh Duong in 2013. Mr.Sang asked for relevant units to adjust this to save State budget, prioritize the use of domestic products meeting the same quality requirements as imported ones.

Also from BIMEA’s right reflection pertaining to the Law on Bidding, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, on June 16, 2015, also promulgated the Circular No.06/2015 detailing on making bidding dossiers for procurement of goods.

Pervasive strength

Nguyen Van Hung, General Director of CNC Technology Solution Joint Stock Company in Dong An Industrial Park in Thuan An town said that BIMEA was a previous source for enterprises to reach robust growth over the past time.

Over the past time, BIMEA assisted members to get access to preferential credit packages for industrial promotion and technological innovation worth nearly VND4bln in order to improve their competitiveness while bracing up them to help each other in production and business with total successful transaction value of more than VND2bln.

BIMEA has also actively got involved in activities for the beloved Truong Sa archipelago. In 2014 and 2015, BIMEA mobilized VND82mln from members to support the Brigade 146. Especially, Sang Ban Mai Joint Stock Company in My Phuoc Industrial Park in Ben Cat town donated VND146mln plus gifts worth more than VND400mln to the Maritime Police Zone 1 and the Brigade 146 in the 2013-2015 period.
