Binh Duong correctly identifies, drastically handles smuggling, trade fraud and fake goods

The delegation of the Standing Office of the National Steering Committee for Anti-smuggling, Counterfeit Goods and Trade Fraud (National Steering Committee 389) made the statement at a meeting with provincial Steering Committee 389, chaired by provincial Department of Industry and Trade, on the morning of October 27.

Provincial Steering Standing Committee 389 said that over the past time, functional sectors and district-level People's Committees had good coordination in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and fake goods. In the first nine months of 2022, relevant departments and sectors inspected 8,360 cases (up 6.3% over the same period in 2021). They detected 4,621 wrong cases, handled 4,607 cases, and prosecuted 11 cases with 11 subjects. Regarding petrol and oil, provincial Department of Industry and Trade, Market Management Department, Police Agency had coordinated with relevant units to inspect petroleum products, signed commitments with focal units to ensure stable petroleum supply for socio-economic activities. Provincial Steering Committee 389 also suggested that it is necessary to issue standards to handle the issues of petrol, medical supplies, tobacco, etc.

Concluding the meeting, representative of the delegation noted petitions and suggested some relevant sectors of the province to further have assessments and solutions closer to the fields they are in charge of in order to advise provincial Steering Committee 389, promptly proposing solutions to the  National Steering Committee 389 to closely handle the current issues.
