Electric using demand increases

Demand on using electricity has increased sharply. In the past year, electric usage jumped 725 million kWh with the total consumed electric output of 7.175bil kWh. The industrial power output rose 10.63% and accounted for 81.25% and so on. However, there was no unexpected interruption of electricity like the previous years. 

The power company of Binh Duong in close cooperation with the local department of Trade and Industry plans on electric offering and allocation to submit to the provincial People’s Committee. From this concrete plan, the provincial People’s Committee actively invited leaders of the Electricity Vietnam Corporation to learn about demand, goal and importance of adequate supply of electricity. After a real approach by listening agencies, businesses’ ideas, the EVN general director Pham Le Thanh promised that EVN pledges to adequately supply electricity for Binh Duong.

This result not only indicates vision, close care of local leaders but responsibility and timely cooperation between specialized units and management units.

Electric saving beyond plans

The Power Company of Binh Duong makes the efforts in reducing losses of energy by many technical and business measures. These solutions contribute to decrease rate of electric loss at 3.69%, lower 0.06% of its plan and reducing 0.08% of 2012 plan. In addition, the company in cooperation with agencies, mass bodies and localities disseminates and mobilizes clients to spur thrift practice of electricity.

As a result, the company’s saved electric output reached 209.76 million kWh in the past year, equivalent to 3.3& of trade electric output, winning 157.28% of plan. An Phu ward, Thuan An town-based Hiep Long hi-grade export furniture company director Huynh Quanh Thanh said that every one wants to save electricity because of cost reduction and competitive ability improvement for businesses. As a chairman of Binh Duong wood processing society, Thanh added that proper option for electric saving measure not only saves money, capital but minimizes risks and accidents caused electricity. the society has encouraged members to renovate technology and equipment to protect environment and improve production efficiency.

The Southern Electricity Company vice general director Pham Ngoc Le assessed that compared with the whole of the country, indexes on electricity loss and saving of the Power Company of Binh Duong are very good. The company has made the efforts to implement electric saving.

Safety ensured

Amid constant overload of electricity, the company has built measures to supply proper electricity in an attempt to ensure electric supply for socio-economic development. In addition, the company has spurred periodical inspections on materials, facilities on grid network to timely replace poor quality sections of electric joints.

In the purpose of improving stability on electric supply, the company always actively exploits circle chains of 110kV transformer stations to change supply right after problems of electric interruption occurs. In the other hand, schedule of electric interruption is widely announced on mass media.

In addition, the company has maintained telephone numbers of hot lines to help local people inform problems of electricity and to solve clients’ queries. In the past year, the company implemented unexpected inspections across teams and groups. As a result, the company found out 46 violations relating to technical safety and solved these cases. These findings contribute to raise awareness and obey seriously regulations of technical safety.
