Mai The Trung briefed the delegation on local socio-economic development and Italian companies’ investment situation in the province and expressed his hope to strengthen friendship cooperation ties with Emilia Romagna region.

Mrs. Palma Costi said that this was the first official visit of the region leaders to Vietnam and she was very happy to sign friendship cooperation agreements with Binh Duong.

Emilia Romagna is one of the richest regions in Italy and is home to more than 400,000 businesses involved in the fields of industry, hi-tech service and tourism.

At the working session, the provincial People’s Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung and Emilia Romagna region Legislative Assembly president inked a common declaration on boosting the friendship cooperation ties between Binh Duong provincial People’s Committee and Emilia Romagna region administration and signed an MoU on spurring trade and economic cooperation between the provincial People’s Committee and Emilia Romagna region’s the Regional Association of Chamber of Commerce of Italy.

Also the same day, Emilia Romagna region delegation worked with Becamex IDC and made a tour to Binh Duong New City and some industrial parks.
