Binh Duong hosts open southeastern amateur singing festival
The 2016 open southeastern amateur singing festival will be co-held by the Agency of Grassroots Culture under the Ministry of Culture, Sports &Tourism and provincial Department of Culture, Sports &Tourism.
This is a chance for amateur artists in provinces and cities in the region to meet, exchange and preserve this form of art, which was recognized as intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO and is also seen as preparation for the upcoming national amateur singing festival.
The festival is expected to take place from May 15 to 19 at provincial Center for Culture and Cinema. Participating teams will also exchange with amateur singing clubs in the province with special items to be performed to serve the local audience.
