The 63rd anniversary of Vietnamese revolutionary movie department marked

Early March 16, at the venue of Phu Loi Prison remain was a getting-together marking the 63rd anniversary of Vietnamese revolutionary movie department (March 15, 1953 to March 15, 2016).

Attending the event was Le Huu Phuoc, the member of Standing Committee and Head of Propaganda and Education of Provincial Party Committee, all-time leaders of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and all-time officers of Binh Duong provincial movie department. At the ceremony, the attending delegates reviewed the 63 years of movie department establishment by order of President Ho Chi Minh City.

As for Binh Duong Province, the former Song Be Province, in 1966, set up T10 movie team. By 1968, the central government added up another movie team. By 1976, State-owned cinema under Song Be Department of Culture, which was renamed as Cinema Firm in 1990, was established. By 2007, Binh Duong Provincial Center for Movie Release and Cinema was officially set up. By December 11, 2012, Binh Duong Provincial Center for Movie Release and Cinema, under decision of Provincial People’s Committee, was merged to Provincial Center of Culture and renamed as Provincial Center of Culture and Movies.

Ever since, the Provincial Center of Culture and Movies cinema has been promoted by the achievements in continual combination with guided decisions and policies of the Party and laws of the State. The public has been encouraged to join up socio-economic development movements. Every year, the center has averagely serviced 120 to 135 movie shows for tens of thousands of turns of audience.
