A delegation, headed by Chair of the Audit Committee of the Finnish Parliament Tuija Brax and Finnish Ambassador to Vietnam Kimmo Lahdevirta, visited southern Binh Duong province and inspected the project of treating and recycling waste into compost fertilizer in Ben Cat district’s Chanh Phu Hoa commune with a total investment capital of VND6.7mln funded by Finland’s ODA.

Provincial People’s Committee Vice-Chairman Tran Thanh Liem received the delegation and gave a brief report on the local socio-economic development. He also made mention of the rapid growth of population, the lack of capital for health, education and environmental hygiene activities. Thanks to ODA capital, Binh Duong has so far built many infrastructure facilities to effectively serve the local socio-economic development.

The delegation also paid a visit to the waste treatment complex in Ben Cat district’s Chanh Phu Hoa commune with a daily capacity of 420 tons of compost fertilizer.
