Binh Duong Provincial credit funding system: To improve financial capacity and management

For her, the success of An Thanh Credit Fund is thanks to friendliness and ready-to-help service.Credit funds have long been very helpful to make people in rural areas be more accessible to small loans for short-term business and production.As confirmed by Thanh Tuyen Credit Fund Director, about 4,650 members have registered to the fund in the past 10 years. The current capital of the fund has reached VND 147 billion as a resourceful finance for loans to local people.As evaluated by State Bank of Vietnam, Binh Duong Branch, the system of credit funds in Binh Duong has increased quantitatively and qualitatively. The 10 current credit funds are accounted for over VND 1,100 billion of fund in the face of challenges; however, the system safety is under question in terms of credit procedures. Director of State Bank of Vietnam – Binh Duong Branch has warned of such risks and called upon the sector to refine organization of credit grassroots.Besides, the credit funds are lack of diversified banking services including money transfer, card payment, etc. due to low investment into facilities and equipments.
