Binh Duong Water Supply Sewerage Environment Company: Employee’s income to reach more than 10 million VND/month

On Jan 18, Binh Duong Water Supply Sewerage Environment Company (BIWASE) organized a meeting to summarize 2015 works and 2016 Employees’ Conference. Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, attended the meeting.

In 2015, the company earned total revenue of 1,308 billion VND, up 22% compared to 2014, reaching 107% target; total profit after tax reached 176 billion VND, up 28% compared to 2014; delivered 69.3 billion VND to provincial state budget. Average income per employee is 10.4 million VND / person / month, up 12% compared to 2014. In addition, the company also supports meal expenses of 680,000 VND / person / month.

To achieve these results, the company developed 407 km new pipeline, increasing the total length of water supply pipes by 2,857 km. In 2015, the company obtained 27,684 new customers, up 122%, increasing the total customer number by 146,024. Total water consumption rose 12.3%; water loss rate was 7.3%, down 0.33% compared to 2014. Average power consumption was 0,36kW / m3. Wastes, waste water collection, transport, treatment also increased, enabling the company to develop many new socialized projects.

To improve employee’s life and productivity, Employees’ Conference discussed solutions to increase revenue through saving costs, improving service quality, customer number; collaborate with universities, training centers to open intensive training courses, improve personnel qualifications, innovate management…

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Liem praised achievements and robust growth of the company in recent years. As a province with high stable growth rate, clean water, sanitation demands are urgent, thus requiring the company to further research, innovate technology in order to operate efficiently, lower price, and improve productivity.

On this occasion, the President conferred third-class Labor Medal on Ngo Van Lui, Deputy CEO of the company; Prime Minister conferred certificates of merit on Waste treating enterprise and 6 excellent individuals.
