Bình Nhâm Temple (Thuan An City) recognized as province-level historical and cultural relic

On March 31, People's Committee of Thuan An City held a ceremony to receive province-level historical and cultural relic recognition for Bình Nhâm Temple in Lai Thieu ward. 

Bình Nhâm Temple owns valuable architectural and aesthetic features that are still well preserved.

Bình Nhâm Temple is a place dedicated to worship the village God “Thành hoàng” and village founders, local heroes. Up to now, this temple has existed for more than 170 years, is a place hold cultural and religious activities of local people. Bình Nhâm Temple was ordained by Tự Đức King on January 8th 1853. This is considered one of the few communal temple in Binh Duong that still retains an original style. Druing the two national resistance wars, Bình Nhâm Temple witnessed many historical events of the land and people of Thuan An. Bình Nhâm Temple was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a province-level historical and cultural relic in Decision No. 200/QD-UBND dated January 18th 2022. This not only is the joy and honor of Lai Thieu ward and Thuan An City but also shows the State's remarkable interest in cultural and historical heritages, making an important contribution to the preservation, construction and development of advanced Vietnamese culture with unique national identity.

Speaking at the ceremony, Le Van Thai, Deputy Director of Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, shared this joy with people of Lai Thieu ward, Thuan An City; and believed that this monument would receive attention, be preserved and promoted in accordance with its inherent values. He asked the local Party, the government and people to strengthen the dissemination and education for organizations and individuals to join hands with the Culture, Tourism sector to effectively manage, protect and develop the value of relics in the city, including Bình Nhâm Temple.
