With a favorable position, Bau Bang district has enjoyed many advantages in terms of industrial development with a goal of becoming one of industrial-urban hubs in the northern region of the province.
Forming up industrial parks
From an agricultural land in the northern region of the province, Bau Bang district has risen up strongly and become a locality with developed economy. One of highlights in the local industrialization and modernization process over the past years was to have an appropriate strategy on industrial development with focus on upholding the role of industrial parks.
Bau Bang urban-industrial park has actively contributed to the local socio-economic development
Established in 2016, the Bau Bang industrial park (IP) is the most important and first project of the district with a total area of more than 2,100 hectares. So far, the IP has been expanded by nearly 1,000 hectares. With a favorable traffic position, it is now an attractive destination for investors.
According to leaders of the district’s People’s Committee, through synchronous solutions in developing infrastructure facilities of IPs, the district has so far developed many IPs with thousands of hectares in total area. The district is now home to Ips, namely Bau Bang, Cay Truong, Lai Hung and Tan Binh, as a highlight for the local development. Their activities have contributed to the local economic development with the industrial growth of 18%-20% in the 2015-2020 period. Enterprises at district-based industrial parks have also greatly contributed to the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) growth of the province while creating jobs for laborers in and out of the province.
To meet the local demand for synchronous development, the district has perfected its social infrastructure network with a series of public investment projects on schools, medical facilities, key administrative works….in association with mobilizing resources to carry out housing projects, well meeting laborers ‘demand for housing and well serving the local demand for industrial development.
Continuing being expanded
Possibly speaking, Bau Bang district has built up IPs with favorable traffic positions, creating a basic change in investment attraction, mobilized all resources to tap the local potential in order to foster industrial products.
With a favorable position, the district lured many investors over the past time. At investors ‘demand, Tan Binh IP is making procedures for expansion in 2 communes of Hung Hoa and Tan Hung with more than 1,000 hectares in total for the phase 2. When the phase 2 of the IP is completed, the district’s area for industrial development will amount to 3,300 hectares, contributing to promoting the local urban and industrial development in line with a goal of becoming one of urban-industrial hubs in the northern region of the province.
The expansion for Tan Binh IP and other IPs in the district is seen as a long-term strategy, bringing the district economic values. This is in line with the province’s orientation on industrial development in the northern region, shift of economic structure towards industrial production-services, creating the premise for speeding up the local industrialization and modernization process. The evolution of IPs in the district will help absorb more foreign and domestic investment capital, promoting many other fields in terms of trade, service and urban development, generating jobs for laborers and improving their living standards, contributing to promoting the local socio-economic development.
