Province-based businesses have worked very stably with high growth in terms of export turnover. This has helped them be excited to speed up to fulfill the year’s plans.
Further reaching growth
In the first eight months of 2017, province-based businesses continued operating stably with moderately good growth.

The province’s export turnover was estimated at US$2.5billion, up 3% and 18.7% compared to the previous month and the same period last year. Noticeably, the province’s main export products on garment, footwear…continued obtaining stable growth. The export turnover of woodwork sector in August was estimated at US$380.5million, up 3.5% against the previous month or 15.2% of the province’s local total export turnover.
Also in August, the export turnover of garment-textile sector was estimated at US$301.6million, up 3.3% over the previous month or 12% of the province’s total export turnover. The province also saw good growth at traditional export markets like the U.S, EU, South Korea, China…It is predicted that the amount of export orders on garment-textile from EU market will increase sharply in the last months of 2017.
Truong Thuy Lien, Director of Lien Phat Co.Ltd. in Di An town cum Vice-Chairwoman of Binh Duong Leather and Footwear Association said that since early this year, her company has continued gaining stable growth. The company’s amount of export orders has continued growing by 10% with total revenue surging 10% compared to the same period last year. As of now, the company has completed 70% of the year’s plan.
According to her assessment, since early this year, province-based businesses in the leather and shoe field have taken fruits in production and business.
Ensuring to fulfill year’s plan
Mrs.Lien said that along with advantages and results done, province-based businesses, especially domestic ones have still faced some obstacles. This is due to severe competitiveness from businesses in the ASEAN bloc.

According to Nguyen Van Danh, Director of provincial Department of Industry and Trade (DoIT), provincial People’s Committee has issued the annual Program on trade promotion, creating favorable conditions for businesses to export their products into countries. Provincial DoIT has also advised provincial People’s Committee on organizing dialogues with businesses under industries’ associations in order to opportunely remove their obstacles, contributing to helping them fulfill their production-business plans in 2017.
Thus, with the attention and support of the local government plus the efforts by themselves, businesses will fulfill their export plans in 2017. This will contribute to helping the province fulfill the set targets on industrial production.
