Capital resources mobilized to support women in economic development

Ben Cat town’s Women’s Union has mobilized capital resources to support members in economic development, stabilizing their lives.

Over the past five years, the local Women’s Union mobilized more than VND1.3billion from the “Saving day for poor women” fund to assist nearly 700 members; teamed up with the local branch of the Bank for Social Policies to disburse more than VND56.4billion in loan for more than 4,700 members; directed its affiliates to respond to the movement of “saving VND5,000” launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women’s Union; set up 83 saving groups with more than VND400million and 2,000 members, bringing the total number of such groups to nearly 400…

The local Women’s Union also organized 26 vocational training courses for members; coordinated with relevant units to introduce jobs to more than 3,400 members…, contributing to decreasing the ratio of unemployment among the local women.
