Early November 20, Ben Cat city’s People's Committee held a regular meeting to review contents for the upcoming year-end session of the city's People’s Council in 2024.
The meeting approved reports on the local socio-economic, national defense and security situation for 2024 as well as plans for 2025. Accordingly, the city’s economy reached stable growth in 2024, with the economic growth of 12.2%, meeting the target set in the resolution of 12%. The city’s economic restructuring progressed in the right direction and total State budget revenue increased by 21% compared to the same period last year.
The city’s urban development efforts also yielded positive outcomes. So far, Ben Cat has met the criteria for a second-class city, achieving 88 out of 100 points for self-assessment. Socialization initiatives gained strong support from organizations, businesses and residents, resulting in investment to complete 63 roads totaling 18.6 km at a cost of approximately VND 121.9 billion.
Administrative reform, with focus on administrative procedure reform along with digital transformation, Project No.06 achieved many positive results. Espencially, the National Assembly Standing Committee issued a Resolution on the establishment of Ben Cat city under Binh Duong province, officially coming into operation from May 1, 2024.
