Bach Dang Bridge 2 has been inaugurated and put into use, creating regional connectivity and promoting local economic development.

Effective mobilization of investment resources

In recent years, Binh Duong has made significant progress in developing its infrastructure systems, creating favorable conditions for the growth of various sectors, including industry, services, urban development, transportation, electricity, water supply and drainage, education, and healthcare. This progress aims to meet the socio-economic development needs of the province.

From 2012 to 2020, the total social investment capital in Binh Duong increased by an average of 14% per year. It is projected to grow by an average of 7.4% per year during the period from 2021 to 2024. The province has effectively mobilized social resources to invest in infrastructure, with provincial budget funds primarily allocated for essential economic and social infrastructure projects. These investments significantly contribute to ensuring social security and fostering rapid, sustainable economic growth.

According to Dr. Le Xuan Thanh, the Scientific Secretary of the Central Theoretical Council, Binh Duong has established a solid infrastructure foundation and ample space for future development. This achievement reflects the effective planning and implementation process in Binh Duong, which has become a model for exemplary development in Vietnam and has inspired many other localities across the country through the province's leading enterprises.

Notably, Binh Duong’s infrastructure is continually being improved with high quality. Industrial parks are being developed in a green and environmentally friendly manner, integrated with urban areas designed for professionals as well as social housing for low-income residents. These industrial-urban ecosystems promote equality in access to social infrastructure, healthcare, and education for all social classes.

Associate Professor - Doctor Do Phu Tran Tinh, University of Economics and Law, Ho Chi Minh City National University, said that Binh Duong has good infrastructure in the Southern key economic region, with many vital transportation routes playing an important role in the socio-economic development of the province as well as connecting with neighboring localities, such as National Highway 13 connecting from Ho Chi Minh City to Binh Phuoc province, connecting with National Highway 14, with Loc Ninh district, Binh Phuoc to Cambodia; My Phuoc - Tan Van road passing through large industrial parks in Ben Cat city, Thu Dau Mot city, Thuan An city, Di An city to the gateway to the airport, international seaport in the Southern key economic region; DT744 road connecting Binh Duong with Tay Ninh province; DT741 road connecting Binh Duong with Binh Phuoc province...

To increase regional connectivity

By 2030, Binh Duong aims to develop an economic, social, and environmental infrastructure system that is comparable to that of other developing countries. The goal is to establish a modern industrial base and achieve a high average income. Additionally, Binh Duong plans to complete large-scale national and regional infrastructure projects that enhance connectivity both within the region and globally.

Looking ahead to 2045, the vision is to create a modern infrastructure system featuring smart cities that align with global development trends. Binh Duong will continue to enhance its infrastructure, strengthen connections between regions and provinces, and foster growth that contributes to the socio-economic development of the entire Southeast region. Furthermore, there will be a focus on the rational and effective use of land, water, forest, and other resources.

Binh Duong also focuses on mobilizing and effectively using investment resources; in which priority is given to allocating State budget capital to important projects and works with inter-regional impacts, promoting rapid and sustainable economic development, and projects that are unable to recover capital or have difficulty attracting investment from the non-State sector. In addition, Binh Duong continues to reasonably mobilize official development assistance (ODA) capital for drainage, wastewater treatment, and flood prevention projects in large urban areas and preferential loans associated with improving efficiency; focusing on investment and early putting into use urgent and key infrastructure projects on roads, railways, and inland waterways connecting localities, regions, and international areas.

The Provincial People's Committee has tasked the Provincial Department of Construction with leading and coordinating efforts with relevant units to carry out projects related to construction, renovation, reconstruction, and urban development. This includes the development of urban infrastructure in accordance with the Prime Minister's decision, which approves the National Urban and Rural System Planning for the period from 2021 to 2030, with a vision extending to 2050.

At the conference on the "Development Model of Binh Duong Province for National Renewal and Vision 2050," Professor Ta Ngoc Tan, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, noted that Binh Duong has become a model of breakthrough development over nearly 40 years of innovation. The province has effectively mobilized investment, built infrastructure, and advanced industrialization, modernization, and urbanization, positioning itself as one of Vietnam's most successful localities.
