Provincial People’s Committee, on October 11, held a ceremony to mark Vietnamese Entrepreneurs’ Day (October 13, 2004-October 13, 2013) and honor outstanding enterprises, entrepreneurs and farmstead owners of 2013 at Lucky Square Convention Center in Binh Duong New City.

Attending the ceremony were Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee Mai The Trung; Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Council Vu Minh Sang; Chairman of provincial People’s Committee Le Thanh Cung together with Vice-Chairpersons of provincial People’s Committee and provincial leaders over periods. They spent a minute's silence in memory of General Vo Nguyen Giap who died at the age of 103 before the ceremony began.

According to provincial People’s Committee, enterprises and entrepreneurs in the province made great contributions to the local remarkable socio-economic development over the past time. In the current difficult context, under the timely instruction of provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee plus their own efforts, enterprises and entrepreneurs in the province have managed to promote the local socio-economic development in the right direction with positive changes.

Over the past 9 months, the province’s industrial production value reached VND108.144bln. Export turnover was estimated at more than US$9.8bln. The province also absorbed VND12.131trillion in domestic investment capital and more than US$1.1bln…In addition, many enterprises and entrepreneurs actively got involved in social charity activities for the sake of the community, comprising of building gratitude and charity houses, funding heart surgery for children with difficulties, providing free medical check-ups and medicine for the poor, supporting natural disaster-hit people…

Addressing the ceremony, Mr.Le Thanh Cung spoke highly of enterprises and entrepreneurs’ contributions to Binh Duong’s achievements done over the past time. He said that enterprises and entrepreneurs at home and abroad have always actively responded to Binh Duong’s call for investment; believed on Binh Duong’s investment climate, contributing to promoting the local development while calling for them to further uphold achievements done, overcome difficulties, obverse the law, ensure production safely and effectively, contributing to completing the local targets on socio-economic development in 2013 and in the following years…

The ceremony to mark Vietnamese Entrepreneurs’ Day left a good impression on enterprises and entrepreneurs across the province, so it partially expressed provincial leaders’ high esteem to them. Nguyen Thanh Phong, CEO of Oseven Vietnam Joint Stock Company said provincial leaders’ attention helped his company to overcome difficulties to rise up over the past time. In 2013, his company will strive to take fruits in production and business with growth of 15%...

At the ceremony, Binh Duong Construction Joint Stock Company and Nguyen Van Hung, Director of Becamex IDC were awarded the first-class Labor Medals. Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park Joint Venture Company and Nguyen Van Tai, CEO of Binh Duong Construction Joint Stock Company received the second-class Labor Medals. Hoa Sen Group and Dong A Corrugated Iron Joint Stock Company were also awarded the third-class Labor Medals. They are outstanding enterprises and entrepreneurs in production, business activities, contributing to the national construction and defence cause.

Provincial People’s Committee also honored 152 entrepreneurs, enterprises and farmstead owners for their excellent achievements, contributing to the local socio-economic development.
