Ceremony marks 81st anniversary of Sai Gon-Cho Lon-Gia Dinh revolutionary tradition

A ceremony was held at Gia Dinh Temple, Phu My Hung commune, Cu Chi district on February 7 to mark the 81st Revolutionary Tradition Day of Sai Gon - Cho Lon - Gia Dinh.

Addressing the ceremony, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan affirmed that the people of HCM City have always felt deep gratitude for late President Ho Chi Minh, his predecessors, and martyrs in the struggles for national independence and freedom in Sai Gon, Cho Lon and Gia Dinh.

 He added that this year, the city’s priorities will be given to fulfill the socio-economic criteria, maintain national defence and security, and organize the election of the 13th National Assembly and for People’s Councils at all levels for the 2011-16 term. The city will follow moral examples of late President Ho Chi Minh and implement the resolutions set by its ninth Party Committee and the 11th National Party Congress.

On the occasion, former Party and State leaders and representatives from HCM City made an offering of incense to the late Party General Secretary, leaders from the zone, the Party Committee of Sai Gon, Cho Lon and Gia Dinh, and war martyrs and planted trees to commemorate late President Ho Chi Minh in the Sai Gon-Gia Dinh Traditional Revolutionary Zone.
