Connection during spring is hopeful, said Mrs. Nguyen Thi Le Trinh as Director of Children Support Fund

Annually, Children Support Fund (CSF) hurries to take care of children in harsh circumstances. For this year, the Tet Holiday should be brought up to every children living in poverty. Mrs. Nguyen Thi Le Trinh, CSF Director had a talk with Binh Duong Newspaper on activities of CSF for children during Tet Holiday 2015.

- Beforehand, please review the children supporting activities in 2014, madam?

- CSF works for children care. In 2014, we have coordinated with unions and organizations to support the children with focus on their rights of living, development, protection, and participation.

The meaningful programs have been implemented including spring festival for children in poverty, Mid-Autumn Festival, schooling support, free healthcare, and kind-hearted actions. We have paid out over VND 5.3 billion to support 3,173 children for their best conditions of development. We are paying more attention to children in harsh circumstances to help them enjoy rights of education, healthcare, and recreation.
- The year 2015 is the 8th year when CSF shall organize spring festival for children in harsh circumstances, what are the difference comparing the previous years, madam?

- We organize longer festival with over 1 month time before Tet Holiday. At the beginning was the long-term support for excellent students in harsh circumstances. The activities are parts of the program initiated by CSF in 2014 winging up dreams by kind-hearted actions. Up to date, 17 students have been offered long-term support. From January 21 on, we shall organize visiting delegations to offer gifts to children living in social support centers.

The highlighted activities for spring festival are expected to be organized on lunar December 18 for over 1,000 children in harsh circumstances across 9 districts, towns, and Thu Dau Mot City. At the festival, the children are offered meaningful gifts from provincial leaders and enjoying highlighted shows.

- Please elaborate on CSF role in connecting kind-hearted people with poor children.

- Through years, CSF maintains caring activities for children under harsh circumstances. Many economic and social organizations have offered material supports for heart surgery, scholarship, and mid-autumn festival. By the joint efforts, we have brought up spring to them.
