On Oct.14-15, the 1st provincial festival for creative youth 2010 themed “Binh Duong youth creates for tomorrow” took place at the provincial Children’s House. The activities of exhibition, forum and honoring ceremony contributed to encourage youths’ creation for the national building and development.

When youth involves in creation

At many agencies and units, the movement of creative youth has become a traditional character luring numerous youths.

 

The provincial Volunteer Youth Team produces nail sucking machines, thanks to the young creation movement.

Over the past 2 years, youths and unionists of Binh Duong Electricity Company’s Youth Union have conducted 68 initiative projects, 22 of which bring profits worth about VND2.5bil per year. Meanwhile, youths and unionists of Phuoc Hoa Rubber JSC, Dau Tieng Rubber One-member Ltd. have invented many initiatives, enhancing latex quality and bringing a stable income for laborers and farmers.

Youths and unionists of schools have also had creative projects, catering for students. For example, Binh Duong College for Technology and Economics’ students have invented high valued products whilst Thu Dau Mot University’s students have created projects researching on history and so on.

At young creation stalls, the participating units displayed highlighted achievements of local youths and unionists. The exhibition helped young participants share experiences mutually.

Creation needs more attention

In reality, encouragement will help young creative movement uphold its strength. Many models have brought billions of VND to units encouraging creation among youths. Le Van Tien, secretary of grassroot youth union under Phuoc Hoa Rubber JSC affirmed “the company has entrusted difficult works for young laborers to encourage their creation. By enthusiasm of youth, the youngsters have always created surprises, bringing high efficiency and winning trust from directorate and everyone”.

However, some units have yet to pay attention to creation of youth. Besides, some young people remain passive in work.

Nguyen Thanh Nghia, head of tech-economic department under Binh Duong Electricity Company, said thanks to close attention from directorate, creation of the company youths is developed but it is necessary to foster young staff for the sake of upholding young creation movement. Additionally, reward and commendation are also an impetus for scientific researches for the sake of production operation.
