Dau Tieng district Medical Center switches to Covid-19 treatment

In the morning of July 8, Dau Tieng district Steering Committee organized an emergent meeting to plan for Covid-19 prevention and control measures.

At the meeting, the district Steering Committee decided to convert the function of the district health center and start receiving and treating Covid-19 patients. It is expected that the district health center will expand treatment with a scale of up to 100 hospital beds to serving the treatment of Covid-19 patients. Doctor Bui Cong Chien, Director of the Dau Tieng district Health Center, said that in order to ensure absolute safety in the treatment of Covid-19 patients, the district health center has asked medical staff and employees to be on 24/7 duty and follow the diet and work on the spot in the treatment area.

In order to ensure effective disease prevention and control, Mr. Nguyen Phuong Linh, Chairman of the district People's Committee, requested local departments to strictly follow the direction in the spirit of properly applying Directive 15 of the Prime Minister. In particular, functional departments and localities need to pay attention to the status of circulation and stabilization of commodity prices in the area and check and handle cases of non-compliance with regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control. Particularly for Dau Tieng town, Mr. Linh asked the district and town's epidemic prevention and control force to urgently complete tracing and epidemiological investigation for cases related to Covid-19 positive cases.
