Youths helped with start-ups

To inspire the entrepreneurial and career spirit, Binh Duong provincial Youth Union implements the Youth Union work associated with activities supporting young members to participate in economic development.

The creation of environments

The provincial youth union has recently collaborated with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to organize the program "Youth Entrepreneurship Festival" and "Rural Youth Celebration for Excellent Agricultural Production, Business, Cooperative, and Youth Union Cooperative in the province" in 2024. To help young members implement entrepreneurial and career development models at the festival, the provincial Youth Union collaborated with Ba La Xanh Fertilizer Joint Stock Company to provide support for 5 youth startup projects. The provincial Youth Union also commended many outstanding young people in the startup movement. With timely commendation, along with belief and determination, young members will continue to sow "seeds" and spread the entrepreneurial spirit to more young people.

In recent years, the coordination and improvement of the quality and scale of youth union activities and children's movements in the province have been an effective solution and approach that the provincial Youth Union has focused on implementing. In particular, the provincial Youth Union, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development have organized coordination agreements between units under the department and the Youth Union of districts and cities in the province. Specifically, it is the signing of cooperation in the implementation of the "One Commune One Product" (OCOP) Program between the Rural Development Department and 9 districts, city Unions; signing of cooperation in the implementation of the national target program for building new rural areas between the Rural Development Department and 6 districts, city unions. In addition, the two units also have signed agreements to coordinate and implement digital transformation and build area codes for agricultural production between the Plant Protection Department and the Phu Giao district Youth Union, the Bac Tan Uyen district Youth Union, and food safety in agricultural production between the Plant Protection Department and the Bau Bang district Youth Union, the Dau Tieng district Youth Union.

Multiply the creative models

With the aim of encouraging, searching for, and expanding creative models, ideas of young members throughout the province, the Provincial Youth Union has just organized the "Rural Youth Start-up and Entrepreneurship" competition in 2024. The competition was lively and received 25 start-up projects, innovative ideas in the field of agriculture, rural areas from Districts, City Youth Unions, and affiliated Youth Unions. The competition features outstanding projects by young members, such as: Green tree service store system; Moraka orchid garden pruning; traditional products like banh chung and banh tet; clean organic guava; "Vietnamese soul in every pair of shoes - Beauty from tradition to modernity"; the 4^th industrial revolution farmers; growing green-skinned pomelo.

Not only that, the provincial Youth Union has collaborated with the Department of Science and Technology to launch the "Creative Startup Ideas" competition in 2024. This will honor promising startup initiatives and create opportunities for young people to showcase their innovative thinking, creative abilities, and entrepreneurial spirit. The competition is also a place for young talents to exchange and learn, to develop breakthrough ideas into reality, and to make positive contributions to the socio-economic development of the locality.

At the program "Youth Entrepreneurship Festival" and "Rural Youth Commendation Festival for Excellent Agricultural Production, Cooperative and Youth Cooperative in the Province" in 2024 last week, the Provincial Youth Union also organized exhibition booths for "Digital Agriculture", showcasing startup products, career counseling, and entrepreneurial idea exchange platform. The stalls are made with the support of departments, organizations, unions, districts, city unions, and businesses, featuring local agricultural products such as yellow bananas, orchids, clean vegetables, and organic agricultural products.

Mrs. Tran Thi Diem Trinh, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, said that in order to enhance entrepreneurial capacity in the field of agriculture, the Youth Union has organized field trips to collective economic models within and outside the province, providing young people with opportunities to learn from experience. On the other hand, the Provincial Youth Union organizes programs such as "Exhibition Day of Youth Rural Entrepreneurship and Economic Development Models"; seminars on "Rural Youth - Digital Transformation towards a New Civilized Countryside"; and "Supporting Solutions for Youth Start-ups linked to the One Commune One Product Program".

Along with that, the Provincial Youth Union organizes training courses on entrepreneurship, career establishment, technology transfer, application skills in digital transformation in production and business, and a program connecting young entrepreneurs with investors, startup investment funds, and entrepreneurs who have investment needs for startups in the province.

By September 2024, the youth in the province have established and maintained 83 cooperatives, cooperative groups, and youth economic development clubs, becoming pioneering units in promoting the youth entrepreneurship movement in the locality.
