Department of Justice disseminates Law on Marriage and Family and Law on Notary Public

Binh Duong Provincial Department of Justice just held a conference to disseminate Law on Marriage and Family and Law on Notary Public to nearly 200 delegates of legal and judicial officers, and notary public from enterprises, agencies, sectors, and unions of the province.

The Law on Marriage and Family 2014 including new features of higher marriage age, same sex marriage allowance, fetus bearing on other’s behalf, common properties division in matrimony, etc. aims at resolving subjective requirements of matrimony while expressing rights of human and citizen in civil procedures and family and marriage field.

The Law on Notary Public offers important jurisdiction to elevate position of Notary Public in the society while ensuring legality of civil, economic, and commercial transactions. The Law also improves State’s management role in Notary Public and satisfies the requirements of the Party and the State regarding the socialization of Notary Public to stay tuned with judical reforms and international integration.

Law on Family and Marriage 2014 includes 9 chapters and 133 articles. Law on Notary Public includes 10 chapters and 81 articles. Both laws shall be officially valid from and on January 01, 2015.
