Identifying culture as the spiritual foundation of the society, the goal and driving force for sustainable development of the country; culture must be put on a par with economy, politics and society; cultural development is the cause of the whole people…, so the province has focused a lot of investment resources on cultural field to serve people's needs well and has achieved positive results in this field.
Investment in culture is investment for development
After nearly 25 years of re-establishment and development, Binh Duong has always been interested in investing, protecting and upholding the value of cultural heritage. The province has had specific guidelines and measures to develop this field commensurate with economic development. Therefore, in the Resolution of the 11th provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, the content of "Improving the cultural and spiritual lives of the people in the province" is one of the goals set by delegates. Along with the socio-economic development of the province, cultural development has always received the attention of provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee; the close coordination of departments, sectors, mass organizations, Party committees, local authorities and especially the consent and response of people from all strata.
Cultural institutions not only serve the local political tasks, but also meet the needs of enjoying the cultural and spiritual life of people from all strata in the province
Over the past time, the movement of "All people unite to build cultural lifestyle" has been involved by the whole political system and received the people's agreement-positive response. Binh Duong is also focused on implementing the campaign of "All people unite to build civilized urban and new-style rural areas”. The effective implementation of the above two contents has brought about positive changes in the fields of social life, contributing to building up a more and more civilized-modern Binh Duong...
Possibly seeing, the implementation of the movement of "All people unite to build cultural lifestyle" in association with the movement of "All people unite to build civilized urban and new-style rural areas" in the province has achieved many positive results, creating an obvious change from awareness to action among people from all strata. Many effective models and movements, namely "Flower Street", "Civilized Street", "Environmental painting on electric poles and manhole covers" in Thu Dau Mot city; the model of "Quarter without waste", "Civilized urban street", "Civilized urban market" in Thuan An city; "Make quarters, hamlet cleaner", "Green house"...have loomed large across the province.
Paying attention to beneficiaries
Nguyen Thi Tuyet, residing in North Tan Uyen district’s Tan Lap commune said that the society is developing increasingly. Through the media, the local people have accessed to many useful cultural playgrounds. The elderly have sites for “Taichi” in the morning while children have many playgrounds to develop all-round skills. Workers happily exchange with clubs singing together, doing sports, etc. As for Pham Van Thanh, who lives in Di An city’s Di An ward, the local cultural and artistic activities has got plentiful and diverse. The local “Don ca tai tu” (southern folk opera) programs, festivals of groups propagating revolutionary songs to modern dance contests, lion and dragon dances, and mobile propaganda have always had new features...
In order to serve the increasing needs of people from all walks of life to enjoy the cultural and spiritual life, cultural institutions from provincial to grassroots levels are always received investment, renovation and embellishment. Up to now, all 9 districts, towns and cities in the province have formed the Culture - Information - Sports Centers, Culture, Sports - Radio Centers. Noticeably, the Centers for Culture - Information - Sports of Tan Uyen town, Phu Giao district, Dau Tieng district are newly built with standards in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. In addition, 52 out of 91 communes, wards and townships in the province have had the Centers for Culture, Sports - Community Education or 57.14% of total. Among them, 28 centers are newly built, meeting standards in terms of area in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
In addition to perfecting cultural institutions, the cultural beauty of Binh Duong's festival activities is increasingly spreading, leaving many impressions on people and visitors. Many economic sectors have participated in the socialization of cultural and sports activities, contributing to creating an environment for cultural, artistic and sports activities, improving the cultural and spiritual lives of the people. In addition, the culture, sports and tourism sector has cooperated with provincial Industrial Parks ‘Management Board and Labor Union to organize activities such as cultural and sports competitions for workers in industrial parks, film shows in localities with lodging facilities for workers...The diversity of cultural, artistic and sports playgrounds has met the entertainment, cultural and spiritual needs of the people and workers.
