Provincial People's Council deputies meet voters in several localities

On the afternoon of November 5, Vo Van Minh, Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Chairman of provincial People's Committee, along with deputies from the People's Councils of the province and Thu Dau Mot city, met voters in Tuong Binh Hiep ward ahead of the regular year-end session in 2024.

During the meeting, deputies from the People’s Councils of the province and Thu Dau Mot city reported on the activities of the Standing Committees of both councils over the past 10 months, provided an overview of the agenda for the upcoming year-end session in 2024 and shared results from addressing voters' previous concerns.

While expressing satisfaction with the city’s and province’s recent achievements, voters in Tuong Binh Hiep ward requested the city’s authorities to consider upgrading certain streets in quarter 7, rebuilding quarter 7’s office, expediting the completion of the project to preserve and develop the Tuong Binh Hiep lacquer craft village as a tourism destination. Representatives of the local government responded to several issues raised by voters and deputies from the People’s Councils of the province and city recorded their petitions for further review by relevant authorities.

*Early November 5, Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Chairman of provincial People's Council, along with representatives from provincial People’s Council and Ben Cat city, met voters in Tan Dinh ward ahead of the regular year-end session in 2024.

At the meeting, voters in Tan Dinh ward raised concerns about persistent flooding on certain streets, the inefficiency of drainage systems, wastefulness in purchasing unused textbooks, the shortage of medical supplies and noise pollution from karaoke singing.

*On the afternoon of the same day, Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Chairman of provincial People's Council and other deputies also met voters in Ben Cat city’s An Dien ward.

Voters in An Dien ward highlighted issues concerning infrastructure and public welfare such as flooding during heavy rains impacting traffic and daily activities. They also raised concerns about the need for improvement to traffic lights on National Highway 13 to ensure safety. Additionally, they noted the shortage of classrooms at An Son Primary School, making it difficult for students, and challenges with administrative procedures for residence registration, the Law on Residence, social insurance…

At the meeting, Mr. Loc addressed some of the issues of concern to the voters and recorded their petitions to be forwarded to relevant agencies for timely consideration and resolution.
