It has become customary that every November, residential areas across the province jointly hold the national great solidarity festival in conjunction with the commemoration of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (November 18). The event aims at contributing to building and promoting the people’s right to mastery as well as strengthening the power of the great national unity bloc.
Strength from residential community
This year, Nhat Hoa quarter in Tan Uyen city’s Tan Vinh Hiep ward is one of the province’s earliest locations to hold the national great solidarity festival in residential areas as well as commemorating the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s Traditional Day. The local residents joyfully welcomed leaders of Tan Uyen city and representatives from various departments who joined in the festival and shared a communal meal with the local people.
Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee's Propaganda-Education Commission, on behalf of provincial leaders, presents flowers as congratulation to the great national unity festival of Long Hung hamlet in Bau Bang district’s Long Nguyen commune
On the main road leading to Nhat Hoa quarter office, we could feel the lively atmosphere as local residents eagerly attended the great national solidarity festival. Amid the cheerful laughter of the people celebrating this event, Huynh Tuyet Nhung, Head of Nhat Hoa quarter’s front work board in Tan Uyen city’s Tan Vinh Hiep ward couldn’t hide her joy and shared her thoughts: “Upholding the power of solidarity, residents of our neighborhood have shown determination, unity and commitment to building up a more modern and civilized Nhat Hoa community. Various campaigns and emulation movements have been closely coordinated by the quarter’s Party cell with the management boards of mass organization branches and self-governing groups as well as locals to meet all the objectives and criteria, thereby contributing to significant achievements in economic, cultural and social development. These campaigns and movements have promoted the spirit of solidarity, mutual love, support and care for policy families and poor households in a practical way...".
Espencially, residents and businesses in Nhat Hoa quarter have voluntarily donated land, money and working days to collectively create roads that are bright, green, clean and beautiful. These roads, reflecting the alignment of “the Party’s will with the people’s heart” have brought a fresh and tidy appearance to the quarter as seen today. According to Mrs. Nhung, throughout the year, the quarter has mobilized residents and businesses to donate land and contribute funds to upgrade urban roads as well as installing the local street lighting systems across. Notable achievements include mobilizing the installation of 191 flagpoles, setting up four streetlights and coordinating with the ward’s People’s Committee to build a welcoming gate along with promotional panels along the DX10 road, with a total cost exceeding VND 182 million.
Attending the great national great solidarity festival in Nhat Hoa quarter, Nguyen Huu Tri, Pernament Deputy Secretary of Tan Uyen city’s Party Committee and Chairman of the city’s People's Council shared that this year’s festival holds even greater significance. This is because the entire Party committee, local authorities and residents of the quarter and Tan Vinh Hiep ward are united and determined to successfully achieve the goals set for the 2020-2025 term while also actively working on new targets in celebration of the upcoming Party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 tenure.
Effectiveness from campaigns and movements
It can be seen that over the past time, under the gathering, propaganda and mobilization of provincial Fatherland Front Committees at all levels; through patriotic campaigns and emulation movements such as the campaign of "All people uniting to build civilized urban and new-style rural areas", "All people uniting to build a cultural lifestyle" associated with sustainable poverty reduction..., people throughout the province have promoted the spirit of solidarity, emulation of labor, production, economic development and building cultural families. To date, the whole province has had all 38 communes and 3 district-level units meeting new-style rural standards; all 38 communes meeting advanced rural standards; 3 out of 38 communes meeting model new-style rural criteria. The pilot of "Smart Village" in Tan Uyen city’s Bach Dang commune is being implemented...Besides, social security and welfare are of concern. Regimes and policies for revolutionary contributors, the poor and workers are implemented thoughtfully and promptly.

These achievements are primarily due to the widespread support of the people, the determined efforts of businesses and the effective management of provincial authorities at all levels. This collective spirit was most evident in the recent drive to support northern provinces affected by Typhoon No. 3. By the end of October 2024, provincial Relief Committee raised over VND 114 billion for the Relief Fund, allocating VND 76.7 billion to provide aid to 23 provinces. The remaining amount is continuing to support disadvantaged localities.
In quarters and hamlets across the province, the strength of the national unity bloc is most evident through the active participation of local residents in self-management groups, community clubs, reconciliation activities, grassroots democratic processes, registration of cultural family, quarter and hamlet standards. Many other campaigns and movements launched by local authorities have also seen enthusiastic engagement from the community.
These achievements confirm that the great national unity bloc within the province has continued being strengthened, expanded and consolidated. The great national solidarity festival has become a cultural highlight in residential areas, serving as a democratic platform that upholds the strength of each individual and family, honoring the strength of the community. Through this event, the strength of solidarity is reinforced, making a significant contribution to the successful achievement of political, economic, and socio-cultural development goals in each locality and across the province.
