Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong: "National unity starts from residential areas”

On the afternoon of November 15, Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission and Deputy Minister of National Defense attended the 2024 great national unity festival in Rach Bap quarter in Ben Cat city’s An Tay ward. The event was also attended by Major General Dang Van Lam, Deputy Commander of Military Region 7; Nguyen Van Loc, Standing Member of provincial Party Committee and Chairman of provincial People's Council; Colonel Nguyen Hoang Minh, Standing Member of provincial Party Committee and Commander of provincial Military Command. 

In a report at the event, Nguyen Van Minh, Head of the Rach Bap quarter management board stated that residents of the quarter have stable incomes. In 2024, all 823 households registered for the "Cultural Family" title, with 816 households achieving the title or 99.14% of total.

Speaking at the event, Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong urged provincial Fatherland Front Committees at all levels to continue promoting their traditions, roles and functions by listening to and gathering the legitimate opinions, aspirations and concerns of the people to reflect them to the Party and State agencies. He emphasized the need for close coordination with local authorities and member organizations to further support the activities of the Front and grassroots Front officials. He highlighted that mobilizing public strength must begin from residential areas. Sustainable poverty reduction takes place in residential areas; building community and family cultural life is in residential areas; national solidarity is first of all in residential areas; a bright green, clean, beautiful and safe living environment is in a residential area...

On this occasion, the Ministry of National Defense, leaders of the province, Ben Cat city, An Tay… awarded 100 gifts worth VND 1.5million each together with 22 other gifts to disadvantaged households and policy beneficiary families. Additionally, 15 households were honored for achieving the "Cultural Family" title for three consecutive years.
