Voters in Tan Uyen give proposal of upgrading traffic system

On November 4, deputies of the province and Tan Uyen city’s People's Councils met voters from the wards of Tan Vinh Hiep, Uyen Hung, Thai Hoa, Vinh Tan, Hoi Nghia and Bach Dang commune ahead of the regular end-of-year session in 2024.

During these meetings, deputies of the province and city’s People’s Committees reported on the activities of the Standing Committees of the province and Tan Uyen city’s People’s Councils in 2024. They also shared the expected agenda for the upcoming year-end sessions and announced the result of solving issues raised by voters following the mid-year sessions of the province and city’s People’s Councils.

After hearing the report, voters from these communes and wards voiced various concerns. These included difficulties in subdividing land plots, requests on school fee exemption and reduction for students from primary, secondary to high schools. They also requested the installation of additional security cameras on deserted streets to enhance public safety and called for continued support in relocating household electric meters outside homes for easier inspection, repair and electrical safety…

Additionally, voters gave a proposal of resolving issues in the centralized purchasing of equipment for agencies and organizations at the ward and commune levels, ensuring the quality of school transport vehicles, expanding the DT747 road, due to heavy traffic and upgrading other roads. They also highlighted the unsightly appearance caused by the disorganized installation of telecommunications cables…

Several issues within the jurisdiction of the province and city’s representatives and local leaders were addressed directly during the meeting. Issues outside their competence were acknowledged by deputies of the province and city’s People’s Councils and will be forwarded to relevant departments, with responses to be provided at the next meeting for voters.
