Di An town is now home to 6 industrial parks (Ips) and 2 industrial compounds together with 1,600 enterprises outside Ips, creating jobs for more than 180,000 laborers. So far, the whole town has had a total of 321 trade union locals with more than 26,000 trade unionists. Of these, there are 225 non-State trade union locals with more than 23,000 trade unionists.

The movements of the town’s Trade Unions at all levels over the past years saw an improvement in both form and content and were organized very effectively. Noticeably, the emulation movement of “Well working, creatively working” contributed to raising labor productivity. The local Trade unions at all levels also attached special importance to protecting laborers’ legitimate rights and interests, thereby building up a harmonious relationship between laborers and enterprises.

On this occasion, Le Thanh Chon, Chairman of provincial Labor Confederation awarded the mementoes of “For the cause of Trade Union construction” of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to 66 outstanding Trade Union officials (photo).
