To meet the requirements of modern tax management, and best serve people and businesses, the provincial tax industry has promoted the application of information technology, deployed an electronic tax declaration system across the country. Up to now, most businesses have used electronic tax declaration, payment and refund services. Deploying electronic tax applications has greatly reduced the cost of tax procedures and really created favorable conditions for people and businesses to exercise their tax rights and obligations.

Currently, the reception and settlement of tax dossiers and related procedures are carried out quickly by the tax industry, returning results on time, thereby overcoming difficulties and obstacles in the tax process and tax law enforcement by taxpayers. The number of records received through the ETAX electronic tax system has increased, demonstrating the synchronous electronicization that taxpayers and tax authorities have made joint efforts to implement over the past time. The implementation of electronic tax services has helped to reduce travel time for filing and paying taxes. Tax declaration and payment information of enterprises is stored on the system to be easily looked up to help reduce management costs without providing information again for electronic records submitted to tax authorities.

In addition, the tax department has actively and regularly reviewed professional procedures and processes, ensuring the implementation at the establishment in accordance with regulations, minimizing troubles, contributing to improving the business environment to improve competitiveness. Tax administrative procedures are also publicized at the one-stop shop and posted on the mass media, helping taxpayers to implement and control activities of tax authorities.

Along with strengthening the application of information technology in management and administration, the tax department also maintains the application of internal assessment through quality system management according to ISO 9001:2025 at the Tax Department's office and other regional tax departments, thereby shortening time, saving costs, creating favorable conditions for taxpayers to fulfill their tax obligations.

The tax sector has also implemented an electronic method on the portal of the General Department of Taxation based on electronic transaction accounts, publicity and transparency of tax management processes and regulations for taxpayers to know, track and monitor.

In order to expand the implementation of electronic tax declaration and payment services for individuals, and facilitate taxpayers when making finalization, the provincial Tax Department has focused on supporting the granting of electronic transaction accounts to individuals according to the regulations.

Commenting on the effectiveness and utility of the electronic tax declaration and payment program, Vo Thi Ngoc Mai, Director of Trung Mai Trading Joint Stock Company in Thu Dau Mot city, said that the company is approved by the Sub-Department of Taxation of Thu Dau Mot city who actively supports and offers simple and convenient electronic tax declaration and payment. Every month, the company accountant only needs to access the installed electronic tax payment software and perform some necessary registration operations to be able to fulfill the tax payment obligation. The company saves travel costs, printing invoices and vouchers. According to Nguyen Van Cong, Director of the provincial Tax Department, in order to promote administrative reforms, the tax sector continues to implement the program of electronic invoices connecting cash registers, and at the same time strengthens guidance and support to urge taxpayers that meet all conditions to apply electronic invoices generated from cash registers in order to quickly increase assigned targets. In addition, the Tax Department promotes the program of "Listening to taxpayers " on the basis of publicizing the hotline at the provincial Tax Department and branches in order to capture and promptly handle the problems of taxpayers in the performance of tax obligations.
