Diverse cultural activities welcome the Lunar New Year 2014

Many cultural activities were organized across the province during the 2014 traditional Tet (Lunar New Year) festival,.

Along with a series of art performances, firework displays…on New Year’s Eve, January 31 across the province, provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held an art performance to welcome the Lunar New Year 2014 at provincial Stadium within five nights from January 30 to February 2 (December 30 to December 4 of lunar calendar) with many special items performed by artists and singers from provincial Traditional Art Troupe and HCM city.

Provincial Center for Culture-Movies also got animated with the 2014 provincial lion-unicorn-dragon dance festival from February 3 to 6 (January 4 to 7 of lunar calendar). This year’s festival absorbed 18 lion-unicorn-dragon dance clubs and took place under the severe assessment of the jury, led by artist Tung Linh.

Besides, a photo exhibition to mark the 84th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) was organized at provincial Center for Culture-Movies from January 20 to late February 2014. On this occasion, provincial Squad on Mobile Propaganda and Movies held documentary film shows on the CPV’s development and establishment process from January 31 to February 2 (January 1 to 3 of lunar calendar).

Many other cultural activities were also organized across the province to serve the local people’s demand for entertainment during the 2014 traditional Tet festival.
