Early Spring in Thuong Tan commune

Work on Thuong Tan commune Culture Center is completed newly.

Thuong Tan commune, North Tan Uyen district will today hold an announcement ceremony of granting the third class Labor Order to local cadres, people for their excellent achievements in the period of 2009-2013. 

Thuong Tan is one of key locality of D war-base of yore and belongs to a remote commune of Binh Duong province. In the war resistances, Thuong Tan not only was a war-base but was chosen as headquarters of revolutionary bases.

In addition, Thuong Tan had a hero named Huynh Van Nghe who set up numerous glories. Under leadership of the Party, Thuong Tan wrote glorious historic pages, contributing to make up common victories of the country.

Promoting and implementing ideal goals of the revolution, Thuong Tan has over the past years improved role of leadership, instruction and mobilization to develop local socio-economy and maintain national defense and security. Thanks to solidarity and agreement in action, local cadres and people have gradually changed and developed the locality better.

Nguyen Minh Can, chairman of Thuong Tan commune People’s Committee said that local economy eyes agriculture-industry-service. More and more enterprises flock to the locality for investment projects. In addition, trade and service have met demand of local residents.

As of Jan. 2015, the locality had 33 companies under well operation and 226 business workshops. “Over the past years, local economy reaches a stable growth, contributing to well implement local political tasks. As of the end of 2014, Thuong Tan had no longer poor households”, Can added.

Along with the done results, infrastructure facilities of power, road, school, healthcare station are perfected significantly. Until now, system of rural traffic road is perfected, ensuring local people’s demand on transport. In the past term, Thuong Tan upgraded and repaired 11 rural roads with the length of 10.5km worth VND9.6bil, helping change rural image positively.

Moreover, work of Thuong Tan pre-school is under construction and rural market in hamlet 5 is under operation, making up a lively ambience for locality. These are significant works for Thuong Tan to finalize building criteria and become a new rural commune in the end of 2015.

In the 3 consecutive years (2010-2012), Thuong Tan commune was awarded merit certificates of the Government and the provincial People’s Committee. And today, these achievements again affirm its position by being awarded the third class Labor Order by the State President.

Nguyen Van Can affirmed “This is a great joy for local cadres and people. Upholding the local tradition, the local Party committee, authority and people determinate to finalize the entrusted tasks”.
