Thuan An town effectively supports to develop specialty orchards

After 2 years of launching support policies for developing specialty orchards in Thuan An town, initial results were proven. Accordingly, as many as 1,824 households joined in support policies at communes of Binh Nham, Hung Dinh, An Son, An Thanh with the area of 504.14ha.

Implementing this policy, the town Farmers’ Society in cooperation with cadres of the local Center for Agricultural Promotion held 26 training classes on taking care and improving orchards for over 1,000 farmers.

Besides, from support of the local department of Agriculture and Rural Development, People’s Committee at all levels built 14 irrigation works with the length of over 5,300km worth over VND8.3bil. Launching irrigation works helps improve flooding and pollution and recession of orchards.

Thuan An town also supported fertilizer for over 1,800 fruit growers with the total value of over VND8bil on the area of 504ha.
